A woman has been found guilty of murdering her two young sons.

Donna Fitchett, 49, had pleaded not guilty in the Victorian Supreme Court to murdering sons Thomas, 11, and Matthew, 9, at their Balwyn North home in Melbourne on September 6, 2005.

Her ex-husband David Fitchett broke down as the verdict was read out. Mr Fitchett was comforted and hugged by emotional family as his wife was led from the court.
